Agra (India): There has been major recovery in the deficit of the rain fall which was -16% at the end of June is now only -5% deficits. Since last ten days, the monsoon has been active and vigorous over most parts of the country except northeast India and extreme south Peninsula. This activity has brought in sea change in over all situation of the monsoon in the country.

Aligarh (India): Regarding the suspension of Md. Adil Hossain, a student of Mass Communication at the Aligarh Muslim University, it is to clarify that he was suspended earlier also from the rolls of University on November 4 last year along with five other students for forcing the University to close on the issue of the murder of Shahnawaz Alam that took place at an infamous restaurant near Railway Station outside the campus.

Mathura (India): "It is an amazingly shocking aspect of conservation that India's top architectural attraction and revenue earner like the Taj Mahal has not received the care and ambience worthy of its status and health. The rear of the mausoleum is totally exposed to the elements. If in the coming years the tilt of the minarets increases or the mausoleum itself shows signs of sinking and distress, it should not come as a surprise as the original physical settings of the whole area have been tampered with and the ecological balance disturbed beyond redemption," warns Mughal historian R Nath.
