Accordingly, a proposal was submitted to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India for seeking approval of the President of India under Section 12(2) and 5(2)(c) of AMU (Amendment) Act 1981 in her capacity of the Visitor of this University.
Ministry of Human Resource Development has communicated that the President has approved in principle the University’s proposal regarding establishment of its two new Centres at Murshidabad (West Bengal) and Malappuram (Kerala).
In view of above, these Centres of Aligarh Muslim University at Murshidabad (West Bengal) and Malappuram (Kerala) stand established forthwith.
