PayPal to stop domestic payments business in India from April 1

San Jose, California-based company PayPal will shut down its domestic payments business in India from April 1.

Now, the company will focus on its cross-border payments business instead. It means global customers will still be able to pay Indian merchants using their payment service.

From 1 April 2021, Company will focus all its attention on enabling more international sales for Indian businesses and shift focus away from domestic products in India.

PayPal is a payment option on many Indian online apps and websites such as Mediabharti, MakeMy Trip, BookMyShow, Swiggy and many more.
