In his presidential remarks, AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof. PK Abdul Azis appreciated the role of Career Planning Centre to develop various professional skills training programme for the women folk.
He said that Indian graduates are conquering the whole world by their professional abilities. He said the development of science and technology becomes the religion of the nation and India is supplying new knowledge especially in the field of science and technology. He also highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship for women in this hi-tech world.
Rama Rani Tripathi, Manager, National Research Development Corporation facilitated the participants by making them aware of the various technologies and resources available for the female students. She enlightened the students about the different schemes available in government organization.
Dr. Sabra Khatoon, Director, Career Planning Centre in her welcome address said that the centre is first of its kind and unique in the country working for making girl students not only educated but also empowering them to take up jobs in various fields.
She further said that the Career Planning Centre which was established in 1984 is doing very well and growing day by day with a strength of around 1500 girl students.
Rafat Mukhtar, Senior Counselor said that for the continuity and change, the women have adopted its belief and rituals to suit the change and a new socio-economic entrepreneurship appear to be emerging fast and women with high drive constantly struggling to achieve something which they could call their own achievement.
Around hundred students of science stream participated enthusiastically in the conference. Six resource persons from different areas were invited to deliver lectures on the theme.
The Principal, Women’s College, Prof. Bilquis Naseem Waris extended her great cooperation for the grand success of the conference.
