Manhattan: In a world where data breaches, credit card fraud and identity theft are becoming more common, consumers should consider ways to protect themselves. 

The pre-budget Economic Survey, presented to Parliament a day prior to the General Budget, hoisted the perfect signal and set the stage by highlighting the irony of India’s growth story that while “financial and digital connectivity are surging ahead, basic physical connectivity appears to lag behind” in the country. 

Without imposing any burden on common man by hiking  the passenger fair, the Railway Minister while presenting the Railway Budget 2015-16, outlined his priority by seeking resource mobilization for higher investment, decongestion of heavy haul routes and speeding of trains and project completion, better passenger amenities and safety, and to make railways a preferred mode of transport for masses.  

Our country face the biggest challenge of providing banking facilities and insurance coverage to all. Having access to institutional finance has so far remained a far cry to a vast chunk of rural population.

India is one of the youngest nations in the world with more than 54% of the total population below 25 years of age. Our young people have to be both educated and employable for the jobs of the 21st Century. Yet less than 5% of our potential workforce gets formal skill training to be employable and stay employable. With rural population still forming close to 70% of India’s population, enhancing the employability of rural youth is the key to unlocking India’s demographic dividend.

In this year’s Union Budget, presented by Union Minister of Finance Arun Jaitley, on 28 February, he mentions the steps to address the two major factors critical to agricultural production: soil and water.
