Aligarh Muslim University Students Union on Saturday invited four MNCs to recruit students. 200 students for the different departments, were present in this drive, and more than 30 were selected by the MNCs on the spot. The MNC's which visited the campus were HCL, GENPACT, KOTAK SECURITIES, and VAILENT MEDIA GROUP.
"It was just a beginning, there is a lot yet to be done" said Aamir Qutub, Secretary, AMUSU and convener of the drive. Aamir said "by this drive a message is being imparted to the outside world that student's Union in not only a place to politicise the issues but it is the guardian of the students community and a body committed to their general welfare."
We will be having a grand placement fair in next months to come, where we expect more than 30 companies, classified according to the brand we are having in terms off professional and non professional course's, he added.
Vice President AMUSU, Syed Umar Ahmad Qadri said that no doubt, AMU students have potential but it needs to be channelized in a proper way for that our whole team is working hard with dedication.
"AMU Students Union is committed for the welfare centric approach for the shining career of the students and will leave no stone unturned." said President AMUSU, Abu Affan Farooquee. "It was altogether a great experience to have the companies in our campus, under the banner of AMUSU, in which HCL selected 9, Genpact selected 8, and Valiant selected 7 students”, according to Arsalan Mubashir and Vikas Sharma who played a key role in organizing the drive.
