The bodies were sent for post mortem.

Police said the two were crossing the track when the train arrived resulting in their death. However villagers said they had thrown themselves under a pact before a running train.

Villagers said the couple was under deep distress after they had been named in an FIR for murder of a villager Bachchoo Singh on April 18. Since then the two had been living in hiding. A warrant had been issued by the court against Rajendra.

Villagers alleged that the couple had been wrongly implicated and the two were fed up of the police, which they thought was unnecessarily harassing them.
