Jamal was also awarded with prestigious “Prof. NP Aiyyer Young Geographer Award” for the presentation of her research paper on “Household Energy Used: Indoor Air Pollution and Respiratory Health in Aligarh City”.
Jamal has been awarded with the Young Geographer Award earlier as well at the National Conference on “Population Development and Environmental Challenges” held in February 2010, in the Department of Geography, Banaras Hindu University on the presentation of her research paper titled “Indoor Air Pollution: type of cooking fuel used and its impact on the health of women in Aligarh city”.
Swaleha Jamal has a brilliant academic track record for achieving University Medal for standing first in her graduation and post-graduation. Jamal is pursuing her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Abha Lakshmi Singh, Department of Geography. She has also qualified National Eligibility Test.
