The total approximate earnings from goods during 1st April 2014 – 31st May 2014 were Rs.16563.57 core compared to Rs.15661.15 crore during 1st April 2014– 31st May 2014, registering an increase of 5.76 per cent.

The total approximate revenue earnings from passengers during 1st April 2014 – 31st May 2014 were Rs.6693.47 crore compared to Rs.5803 crore during the same period last year, registering an increase of 15.34 percent.

The approximate revenue earnings from other coaching amounted to Rs.675.33 crore during April 2014 – May 2014 compared to Rs.657.17 crore during the same period last year, registering an increase of 2.76 per cent.

The total approximate numbers of passengers booked during 1st April 2014 – 31st May 2014 were 1377.82 million compared to 1396.03 million during the same period last year. In the suburban and non-suburban sectors, the numbers of passengers booked during April 2014 - May 2014 were 709 million and 668.41 million compared to 726.10 million and 669.93 million during the same period last year.
