It is very likely to intensify further into a severe cyclonic storm during next 24 hours. It may move north-northwestwards and cross Andhra Pradesh coast between Machilipatnam and Kakinada during Monday afternoon. However, it is likely to weaken slightly before landfall and cross the coast as a cyclonic storm due to unfavorable environmental conditions.
Rainfall at most places with heavy to very heavy falls at a few places very likely over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand.
Strong wind speed reaching 30 to 40 kilometer per hour gusting to 50 kilometers per hour likely along and off South Odisha coast.
The sea condition is high over southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal around system center.
The fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea.
