"Some people reported hail as well in some parts, but the showers were heavy generally. The fluctuation in the day and night temperature was causing some worry for the farmers. Now the nature has taken the corrective course and looks like the chill has returned for a couple of days as the fields are wet again. Only yesterday I had watered my fields," progressive farmer of Barauli Aheer block Ravi Singh told Agratoday.in.
The rains are good for the wheat crop. "Just checked my fields the plants are standing firmly. Just hoping the mustard flowers are not damaged," Ravi added.
The shower has helped wash the lawns and trees which were covered with dust.
"The Taj too looks dazzling after the unexpected wash early morning and I am sure tourists are going to love it," said Taj Ganj hotelier Sandeep Arora.
Weathermen predicted more rain. "After the abrupt rise in day temperature, this comes as a welcome relief," said school teacher Anubhav Gupta.
