Chauhan was addressing a meeting at the district headquarters attended by social activists and media persons. "If no fresh cases were reported in the next two years, India would be declared Polio-free country," Chauhan said.
On the occasion, Shiv Raj Bhargav, member of Rotary International's Polio Plus committee, said that the service had spent Rs.5000 crores globally to eradicate Polio, and was spending Rs.1400 crores annually to wipe out the dreaded disease.
