DIG Aseem Arun said two cops had been hurt and two vehicles of the police damaged.
The incidents were triggered by news from Noida and anger against the officials of the Jaypee group who were accused by the villagers to have demolished a temple in Garhi Rami, two days ago.
The protesters want increased compensation for the land they said had been forcibly acquired for the Expressway. Etmadpur thana police said half a dozen vehicles were damaged in the fire and some people hurt.
The Yamuna Expressway will reduce travelling time from Greater Noida to Agra to just 90 minutes.
Work is nearing completion and company officials say that the project would be complete before time by November end.
More companies of the PAC have been rushed.
