He said that this is a pleasant occasion for the landmark expansion of the Chemistry Department. He further said that the century old department has produced great scientists working all over the globe.
Prof. Azis said that the faculty members are among talents and they are updating their laboratories.
He urged the teachers to prepare various projects and think about the future development of this great institution.
Prof. Azis pointed out that the University has instituted an Infrastructure Development Committee under the chairmanship of Prof. Jameel Ahmad of Civil Engineering department for complete transparency, accountability and honesty in the development projects.
AMU Registrar, Prof. VK Abdul Jaleel said that the UGC has sanctioned `73.56 lacs under XI Plan to conduct a fifty-seated lecture theatre and hundred-seated Conference Room with toilet facilities. He said that the construction projects will be completed by the end of December 2011.
On this occasion, AMU Registrar, Prof. VK Abdul Jaleel, Chairman of Department of Islamic Studies, Prof. Sayyid Ahsan and former Chairman, Prof. Zafarul Islam also addressed the function.
