New Delhi: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said that a new Road Traffic Act will be brought in the winter session of Parliament, which will be at par with international Acts in the Road Sector. (Read in Hindi: मोटर वाहन अधिनियम का स्‍थान लेगा नया सड़क यातायात अधिनियम)

New Delhi: Union Minister for Tourism Shripad Naik here launched the Comprehensive Sustainable Tourism Criteria for India (STCI) for Accommodation, Tour Operators and Beaches, Backwaters, Lakes & Rivers Sectors.

The Udhampur – Katra new railway line, which was dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 4th July, is a part of ambitious 326 Kilometer long Udhampur- Katra-Quazigund- Srinagar -Baramulla Railway Line (USBRL) Project of Northern Railway and will provide seamless flow of rail traffic through Jammu to Katra via Udhampur through the entire Indian Railways network. 

New Delhi: Indian Railways plan special trains well in advance and additional coaches are attached in regular trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during summer and festival seasons keeping in view the pattern of traffic.

New Delhi: The facility of Electronic Travel Authorisation (e-Visa) shall be introduced in a phased manner at nine airports in India. Announcing this during his maiden Budget Speech in the Lok Sabha. 

New Delhi: The General Budget 2014-15 proposes to create 5 tourist circuits around specific themes for which a sum of Rs. 500 crore has been set aside in the current financial year.
