Hundreds of Shiva bhakts dressed as demons and weird characters danced to the beats of drums as the procession meandered its way to the venue through the narrow lanes of Jatipura.
It was at this place that lord Shiva witnessed the "festival of Annakoot" sitting here, Vineet Narain said. "Out of this ecstasy, tears rolled out of Shiva's house, welling up to form Rudra Kund." Another story goes that the holy pond was created by the tears of Radha and gopis pained at the separation from Sri Krishna who left Braj for Dwarika.
The renovation of the kund took five years and generous financial support from by industrial houses ensured all hurdles would be crossed. The foundation stone was laid on November 16, 2011 by Amrit Abhijat, former commissioner of Agra, now DG UP Tourism.
