1. Fruit and vegetables
Prepping fruit and vegetables such as apples, carrots, celery, or other raw vegetables is an easy way to avoid indulging in foods that are not healthy. Eat foods that are high in fibre like broccoli. Replace snack items such as chips and cookies with fruits and vegetables. You can also try nuts.
2. Keep a food diary
If you write down everything that you had as a bar of chocolate, cookie or a brownie, you will be more likely to understand why you are having trouble losing weight, maintaining your blood sugar, cholesterol, and of course, blood pressure within normal limits.
3. Try a Mediterranean diet
Mediterranean diet has all the basics of healthy eating. The traditional Mediterranean diet reduces the risk of heart disease.
4. Do Yoga or other exercises
You can join a gym and go for a walk with a friend. If you do not like gyms, you can opt for the Yoga. Park away from your car and walk more. It helps you to burn calories. If you do not like to exercise then a daily walk is a great way to start.
5. Cut out sugar
Cut your sugar intake through tea and coffee. Cutting out just one soda can easily save you 100 calories a day.
Ultimately, make a commitment to yourself and your health, avoid a sedentary lifestyle and get up.
