Seminar On Hospitality & Tourism In Mauritius Organized At HIHT


 

 The principal agenda of the day was to show wakefulness that tourism is essential to the worldwide population and to display how it concerns the cultural, social, economic and political values worldwide.

 

 The tourism industry is pleased to join in this global campaign. A warm welcome was given to the delegates with traditional Indian hospitality. The programme began with lighting of the auspicious lamp and a traditional welcome dance. The guests for the occasion were ex-minister of Health, Govt of Mauritius, Jagdish Govardhan, Hooshila Reesaul, Dr. Akhilananad Reesaul and Capt Prabanshu Kumar, Deputy Director of Mandi Samiti.

 

 ‘Tourism in Mauritius has evolved the economy of the nation from a low income one based on agriculture, to a upper income diversified economy’, said Govardhan in his address. He said the presence of HIHT in Mauritius is not only a business step but an effort towards providing a world class education.   

It was an interactive and knowledge-sharing session. Staff and students of HIHT took part in the session with zest, zeal and enthusiasm.
