"The girl, who was studying in a school in Firozabad, was in a terrible condition and her health kept deteriorating despite efforts to save her. She died Thursday," a doctor at the SN Medical College told Agratoday.in.

 The girl was dragged away to a nearby field and raped by Rahul and Bablesh when she was returning home after the Republic Day programme in the school Jan 26.

 After listening to her cries, farmers rushed to the site and saved her from the boys who were handed over to the police.

 But when she reached home, she poured kerosene on her body and set herself on fire.

She was first admitted to a Firozabad hospital and later transferred to Agra.
