At the opening ceremony Governor of Andhra Pradesh ESL Narasimhan was the chief guest. In his address, he said, 'The greatest plus for the aviation industry in India is liberal environment in both the domestic and international spheres, an airport modernization drive that is beginning to show results, and above all a vast potential for market growth to keep pace with the economic growth of the country'.
'Andhra Pradesh is part and parcel of India aviation’s growth story in terms of infrastructure, modernization, and capacity augmentation particularly at the non-metro level in a significant way'. He added.
In his inaugural address Ajit Singh said 'This event is much more than an aviation show. It provides a platform to experts to deliberate on how to improve connectivity, use newer technologies, developing better and more reliable air navigation services and air traffic management system'.
The exhibition has been organised jointly by Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). More than 250 exhibitors are participating in the event. The show will continue till 16.
