Nearly 2500 workers in 08 Blocks were trained on various aspects of promotion of Maternal and Child Health, Infant and Young Child Feeding Practices Vitamin A Prophylaxis and Promotion of Iodized salt in the community.
Participants included Lady Health Visitors (LHV), Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM), Basic Health Workers (BHW) of Health Department and Supervisors, Anganwadi Workers of ICDS Department and ASHA working under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).
Training sessions were conducted by Dr. M. Athar Ansari, Nodal Person, BSPM Scheme, Prof. Zulfia Khan, Dr. Abdur Razzaque Siddiqui and Dr. SNA Hashmi, State Level Trainers.
The Department of Community Medicine has been working on a project “Strengthening implementation of Child Health Nutrition Months/Bal Swasthaya Poshan Mah (BSPM) in UP” The Project is sponsored by UNICEF.
