Foundation Laid To Establish AMU’s Murshidabad Center


 

The West Bengal Government has facilitated transfer of 288 acres of Farakha Barage land from Water Resources Ministery to Aligarh Muslim University on September 3 this year and the Government of West Bengal and Aligarh Muslim University jointly decided to hold the Foundation Stone Ceremony at Ahiron in Murshidabad.

Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will be the Chief Guest of the function. The AMU dream project aimed at changing educational scenario of the region could not have seen the light of the day but for the keen interest and support extended by Mukherjee.
