EC To Open A Centre For Training Of Personnel


 

Qureshi was in the Taj city for launching a weekly magazine "Chauthi Duniya" at the Soor Sadan auditorium.

 

 Interacting with media persons he said the commission had felt there was a need to train officials and others who have to be put on election duties. If other countries want they can also send their personnel for training.

 

 India had acquired a lot of experience and in the process insights into managing and conducting elections. People here realized the importance of each vote. Many people have lost election by just one vote, he said.

Responding to a journalist's question Qureshi said the Commission was working on various strategies to keep criminals out of the electoral race. We are interacting and collecting feedback from groups of opinion leaders in different cities, he added.
