51 Research Scholars from Botany, Biochemistry, Agricultural Science, Microbiology and Zoology participated in the course.
Professor Mohammad Anis, Department of Botany, AMU was the Course Coordinator.
18 days long course was based on interactive and inter-disciplinary sessions in which many distinguished speakers having expertise in their respective fields delivered lectures especially on frontier areas of science like Biodiversity Conservation, Human Genome project, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Information Technology and Nanotechnology.
While speaking at the concluding session, Professor AR Kidwai, Director, UGC Academic Staff College welcomed the course participants and presented before them a synoptic account of the role of AMU in the spread of higher education, especially the contribution of Faculty members of the Life Science Department.
Professor M. Anis, Course Coordinator, welcomed the participants and opined that the horizon of Science could be widened only by including the latest subjects. He emphasized that Science and Technology system has to be infused with new vitality, if it is to play a decisive and beneficial role in advancing the well being of all sections of our society.
