Ann Arbor: Daily marijuana use among the nation's college students is on the rise, surpassing daily cigarette smoking for the first time in 2014.

Chicago: Despite having only about 5 percent of the world’s population, the United States was the attack site for a disproportionate 31 percent of public mass shooters globally from 1966-2012, according to new research that will be presented at the 110th Annual Meeting of the American Sociological Association.

New York: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki Moon. During the meeting, Prime Minister emphasized the importance of involving nations which contribute troops to UN peacekeeping missions, in the decision-making process. He also emphasized the urgent need for UN reform, as the organization approaches its 70th anniversary.
