Taj Mahotsava will now start on March 16 till 26.

Taj Challenge Car rally is being supported by the Northern Motor Sports Club and Agra Motor Sports Club jointly.

Divisional commissioner Amrit Abjijat who is also the chairman of the Taj Mahotsava organizing committee, said different government departments had been given specific duties to ensure the success of the maiden rally which should be a big draw. The toughest part of the 150 km long rally would be the stretch near the river Utangan. Ambulances and fire brigade vehicles will provide the support services.

The rally will start from Ram Lila ground near Agra Fort and finish off at the Eklavya stadium, via Bah, Pinahat ravines, according to Rajeev Gupta, of the Agra Motor Sports Club. Gupta said, "This is just the beginning but from next year it will be a major race with attractive prizes. Foreign tourists too would be able to participate." Already more than 35 entries have been received, 15 from outside Agra.
