AMU Wins North Zone Intervarsity Tennis (Men) Tournament


 

After a gap of seven years the Aligarh Muslim University was able to come out victorious in the finals by defeating Punjab University, Chandigarh 3-0. AMU managed to win all the matches it played by defeating its opponent 3-0.

 

 In Singles, Lakshit Sood of Aligarh Muslim University bt Suraj Beniwal 6-1, 6-3 while Chandril Sood bt Deepinder Singh 6-1, 6-1. Punjab University, Chandigarh conceded the Doubles match.

 

For third and fourth place, Shadab Khan (Delhi) bt Resham (Kurukshetra) 6-7 (13-15), 6-3, 6-3.

Vedant Kapoor (Delhi) bt Amardeep (Kurukshetra) 6-4, 6-2. Prateek Bhamri and Adit Jain (Delhi) bt Dinesh and Resham (Chandigarh) 6-0, 6-1.
