Revolutionary 'Split Sprint Timer' for athletes patented

Aligarh: Prof Ikram Hussain, Department of Physical Education, and Prof Ekram Khan from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Aligarh Muslim University, in collaboration with Dr. Fuzail Ahmad and Anand Agrawal have secured a patent titled “Split Sprint Timer” from the Intellectual Property Office of New Delhi. The patent, bearing the number 456666, was officially granted on the 4th of October.

The Split Sprint Timer is a device designed to accurately measure the time taken by athletes to complete sprints, offering a significant advantage in sports such as track and field, hockey, soccer, American football, and handball.
