{/googleAds} Talking to media-persons Smiriti Irani said the central government was keen to promote Hindi globally for which centres would be opened in a number of countries. "Online teaching of Hindi will also be started soon." She said the ministry would soon institute awards named after Patel for tribal writers in Hindi.

She said interest in Hindi was increasing globally and therefore "we have to start new programmes and open chairs in many countries." Teachers from the Agra headquarters of the KHI would be deputed to undertake teaching programmes.
